Ledbetter

Description:

Ledbetter Beach is actually in Santa Barbara. This site is probably the most user-friendly around. There are usualy no waves at all, so if you are into slalom sailing, this site is for you. There can be a pretty serious kelp bed a couple hundred meters out from what I hear. Most guys have weed fins and use them. Ledbetter is best when the wind is from the southwest. The wind usually shifts offshore late in the day. Check the current conditions at Call of the Wind.

Directions:

Get off Highway 101 at the Castillo exit. Turn right on to Castillo and take it to the end. Turn right on to Cabrillo. Ledbetter beach will be a couple of lights down the road. You may or may not need to pay for parking.
