Dear Physics 2 students,

a reminder that the midterm will be on Wednesday August 19.

There will also be a quiz on Tuesday August 18.

For the midterm you should review the following chapters in the book:
1.10
10.1 &rarr 10.7
11.1 &rarr 11.4
12.1 &rarr 12.7
13.1 &rarr 13.8

You should bring the following items to the midterm:

• A scantron sheet like the ones we have been using for the quizzes
• A pencil
• A photo ID
• (Optional) A calculator
• (Optional) Two sheets of notes. You can write on both sides

The midterm will be entirely multiple choice.

Here are two practice midterms:

1. The midterm from Summer 2008: the test and the solutions. Note that unlike this year's test, last year's test included two non-multiple choice problems.
2. The midterm from Spring 2009: the test and the solutions. Note that students only had 1 hour 15 minutes to complete the test (you will have 1 hour 25 minutes); furtermore the midterm from this Spring also covered chapter 14.
